Photograph of Madera School, showing crowd at entrance, ca.1900. In the background, a small metal fence can be seen dividing the school grounds from the brush in the foreground. In the background at center, a massive structure can be seen with a large crowd of men and women at its entrance. The building is almost entirely rectangular in structure, except for a tall tower-like structure extending above the main entrance. The entryway is arched and flanked by decorative columns. Rectangular windows can be seen along the front and side of the structure. The roof is appears angled and can be seen peaking at its center. Atop the tower-like structure, a wide, rounded section of roof can be seen with a large pole extending from its peak. To the far left, trees and smaller structures can be seen.
