Description	Photograph of Mojave's Main Street, 1896. At center, a large utility pole can be seen adjacent to a dirt road. The wide dirt road runs at an angle from the foreground at right ot the background at left. On the opposite side of the street, additional utility poles are visible running parallel to the road. Also adjacent to the road, several small buildings and storefronts can be seen. In the background at right, a horse attached to a small carriage can be seen beneath a large building labeled, "...General Merchandise". To the left, a man stands near an open fence. Most of the town was destroyed by a fire in the fall of 1896.
