Description	Photograph of an unidentified house in Redondo Beach being pummeled by breaking surf, ca.1953. The two-story house is shown to the right, a person's silhouette visible through the bay window at center. In the front, a brick wall is pictured, marred by the weather. Along the sidewalk, a streak of stones has been thrown across the ground, assumedly piling from the breakwater. A large crashing spray of water can be seen to the left. The original breakwater was built in 1937 and replaced from 1957 to 1958.; Storm in Redondo Beach circa 1953, showing damage to homes and sidewalk, looking north. Original breakwater was built in 1937 and replaced in 1957-58.
