Description	Photograph of the exterior of Hugo Reid's adobe on the Baldwin Ranch, which was originally known as Rancho Santa Anita, ca.1939. Reid, a Scotsman, was the first owner of the rancho and he built the adobe in 1839. The house appears to have light-colored wood siding, and the screen door leading inside is open. There are many trees in front of and around the house, which is viewed from across a lake that reflects the image of the house and trees. In the foreground, there is a small palm tree very close to the water.
