Crowds of people in horse-drawn carriages or on foot travel the busy road, which culminates in a hill in the photo's background. A sign that reads "City Meat Market." extends in from the left. A testimony on the back of the photoprint reads " Roy S. Kellog, Pres. of the Pasadena Historical Society, told my daughter...that he recalled this event personally and that this picture shows the Parade of the Grand Army of the Republic...in 1886."
