Stones are piled along the front of the house to the right. Along the sides of the home, six paned windows are visible. A small stone chimney extends from the top of the roof at right. Trees are visible in the background and beyond a tall fence at left. Previous record quotes the following from unknown source: "The old house of Mr. F. Walker at Placerita Canyon near where the first gold was discovered in California in 1842".
