Photographic portrait of "Pioneer Mother" Sarah Ann Rogers and her seven (eight?) children, Highland Park, Los Angeles, January 30, 1916. Mrs. Rogers is pictured seated at right in a button-down dress, on which a flower corsage is pinned. She wears her hair back and wears glasses. A full-grown man with a mustache rests his hand on the back of her chair, while four others stand to the left of him: a young woman, a man with a mustache connected to his muttonchops, and two more young women. In the first row, to the left of Mrs. Rogers, three children are pictured: two adolescent girls and a young boy, who appears to have a tin of something tucked-away on the inside of his jacket. Picture file card reads "Ralph, Center, Edward, Right."
