Description	Photograph of Venice Boulevard looking east from Lomita Street before the completion of the storm drain and the improvement of roadway, 1931. At left, a shallow stream of water flows in the bottom of an apparently incomplete ditch. At right, a narrow paved road wends farther right up a hill. And automobile is visible on the road just near the edge of the ditch. In the distance, houses can be seen, along with a cluster of utility poles at left. Compares to USC-0-1-1-357, a view after improvement.
