Photograph of collapsed buildings after earthquake on Abbot Block, Compton, March 1933. In the extreme foreground, a wide street can be seen extending to the far right. On the opposite side of the road, about four structures can be seen. At left, a small rectangular, lightly-colored structure is visible with no apparent damage. Behind the small structure, a large brick building with several square windows is missing a large section of its roof. To the right, a large, two-story structure can be seen. The wall adjacent to the street on the second level is missing, and a large amount of debris can be seen along the base of the building. Further to the right, debris surrounds a smaller collapsed structure.
