The highway runs from the foreground at right to the background at center and is a two-lane paved road. Several early-model automobiles can be seen on the road, while cars can be seen parked on its shoulders down the length of the road. The left side of the road is bordered by a line of brush-covered hills, while the beach runs parallel to the road at right. Three piers jut out from the sandy shore in the distance at right. In the foreground at right, a one-story building can be seen in the sand with several cars parked directly in front of it.
