Photograph Mount Lowe railway car on circular bridge, 1895-1900. In the extreme foreground at right, a section of the circular track can be seen extending over a steep drop. At center, a railway car with a painted number "5" can be seen on the track. At least twelve people can be seen riding in the car. A large metallic pole can be seen extending from the top of the car and meeting with another pole extending from a post to the right of the tracks. The hotel on Echo Mountain is visible in the background. In the extreme background at left, the landscape of the city is visible. The railway was the creation of Thaddeus S.C. Lowe, a Civil War balloonist.
