Title	Venice diving tower, showing swimmers in the water, ca.1905
Description	Photograph of a group of about twenty-two swimmers in the water below the Venice diving tower -- a wood strut tower rising out of the water near the beach, ca.1905. One person is climing a ladder up the tower near the bottom while another is poised mid-air having just leapt from a swinging trapeze suspended from the tower. A group of swimmers stand in the shallow water in a cordoned-off area forming a water polo (or basketball) court. The shoreline and a canal is visible in the background. Legible signs include: "Venetian Villas, temporary construction".
