A woman in a dark blouse and light pants is holding the bottom of the string. She is standing on a kiosk that has a sign that reads "Twelfth Street". Street lamps can be seen at right, and the Los Angeles Examiner building is visible in the background at right. Foreign Trade Week lasted from February 16-22, 1928.
