Description	Photograph of a drawing of an exterior view of the United States Courthouse and Post Office that stood at Main Street and Winston Street in Los Angeles, 1875. The three-story stone courthouse is at center and its façade faces slightly to the right. A cylindrical tower is on the corner of the building at center, and arches and columns dominate the architecture. Two dormers can be seen protruding from the roof, along with a brick chimney. An American flag flies from a pole on the roof. Several horse-drawn carriages can be seen on the unpaved streets in front of the building. More buildings can be seen in the distance, including a church at left. Writing in the bottom right corner identifies Will A. Freret as the supervising architect.
