Stairways can be seen on the outside of the building. A wide paved street runs from the foreground to the background at center, while railroad tracks are visible at left. Several boxcars can be seen at left, and early-model automobiles are parked along the curb at left. A wooden fence runs across the foreground from left to right. A sign near the fence reads: "No Smoking Positively [¿] of Automobiles on Municipal Piers".; Originally, the record's title read as "Exterior view of Warehouse Number Three at the Los Angeles Harbor, [s.d.]".
