Description	Photograph of the exterior view of the Trenton Hotel on Olive Street, north of 5th Street, Los Angeles, ca.1880-1900. The building is about eight-stories tall. The foundation is slanted because the street is sloping upward. The windows from the second floor and up are identical. The fire escape ladders situated at both ends of the building run from the second floor up through the cantilever roof. Several bikes are parked along the curb near the dirt road in front of the building. To the left and right of the building are residential houses or apartments. The only legible sign reads: "The Trenton".
