Photograph of the exterior view of Los Angeles Trust Company building, on the northeast corner of Spring Street and Second Street, ca.1900-1909. The building stands about seven-stories tall. Many of the windows have striped cloth awnings, some retracted and others extended. The walls of the first floor appear to be constructed of ashlar stone masonry. There are three visible entrances, two for the trust building and one that leads to a bank that is occupying the corner space of the building. Pedestrians can be seen walking along the sidewalk. In the street, a streetcar is about to approach the intersection (lower right).; Legible signs include: "Hurd Bros. Co. real estate", "law offices of Lynn Helms , I.S. Williams", "new years day", "Trust Building, Los Angeles Trust Company", "flowers", "Kod[...]", "The National Bank of California, officers, John M.C. Marble, John E. Marble, J.E. Fishburn, F.J. Belcher, director"..., "Washington St.", "123, Llongo", "Felice, [...]gar"..., "rooms", "the St. Louis".
