Neat rows of plants surround them. In the background, two men are seen picking the flowers with electrical lines and tall trees behind them.; Photoprint reads: "Carnation Gardens, located east of the Hotel Redondo to attract tourist. About 1903, a Mr. William Wolfskill, developed a carnation garden. 12 acres of carnations were usually always in bloom. In April of 1913, the gardens were sold for $40,000.00, for development as a new housing tract." -- unknown author.
