Photograph of a view of Amador City, looking across town to Keystone Hill, ca.1930. A small edge of dirt road is pictured in the right foreground, while the various homes of the city are visible in the depression below, spaced irregularly. In the distance, the gently rolling Keystone Hill is visible, just beyond a slag pile from the Keystone Mine. The mine vein was discovered in 1850 and the mine operated for 59 years. Afterwards, several attempts to re-open the property had failed. It was reopened and closed for good in 1933.
