Description	Photographic portrait of a group of Franciscan monks at the Mission Santa Barbara, ca.1880(?). Two rows of monks dressed in their habits are shown posing in the arbour of the mission. The front row of monks is seated and the monks are identified left to right as Brothers Godfry, Anthony Gallagher, Hugolin, Ivo and Peter Haberlin. The men standing in the back are similarly identified as Father O'Keefe, Brother Leo, Father Killian, Father Rayner, Brother Faustin, and Brother Aloyfius. What appears to be a patch of ivy surrounds their feet to the left, while the terracotta tiles of the mission and an extended trellis can be seen in the background. Picture file card reads "Franciscan fathers of the 1880's(?) 1889(?)".
