Description	Photograph of a view of Catalina Island looking towards Sugar Loaf from the St. Catherine Hotel, 1927. The large rock formation can be seen on the tip of a peninsula at left. A large, low building with a wide roof can be seen on the peninsula as well. In the foreground at right, the grounds of the hotel are visible, including tennis courts and landscaped walkways. Avalon Harbor can be seen in the background at center, and the large hills of the island rise up from sea level at right. Many small boats can be seen moored in the water around the island.
