The river runs from the top of the image to the bottom at center and is crossed by a concrete bridge at center. Several large cylindrical storage tanks can be seen in the lower left corner. Railroad tracks and trains can be seen on the left bank of the river. Dozens of buildings can be seen around the river on both sides. Photoprint reads: "This photograph is loaned to you. Please return to: Illustrator. L.A. City Planning Dept. Rm.361 F City Hall, Los Angeles, California".
