Description	Photograph of a petition to J.B. Beebee concerning the prohibition of alcohol in Pasadena, dated October 27, 1884, [s.d.]. The document begins with a paragraph of which the following is legible: "We the undersigned citizens and business men of Pasadena learning of your [...] to open a Saloon for the sale of Liquor in our midst, and believing that same would cast an Evil influence, and [...] a draw back to the future growth and improvement of the place do earnestly request and ever pray for the good of all, that you reconsider, and refrain from so doing." Underneath, the signatures of a number of notable local individuals are enscribed.
