The theater -- which opened September 9, 1934 -- is shown at center, a large square featuring words that proclaim "Drive-In Theater. Sit in your car. See and hear Talking Pictures on the world's largest screen. California's First". In the foreground, a dirt road curves to the right. Other signs read: "Entrance", and "Turn all lights out here". At center, a 1938 theatrical poster can be seen advertising the "Adventures of Marco Polo" with Gary Cooper.
