Description	Photograph of an interior view showing 4 hearths in the Winchester "Mystery" House, Santa Clara (near San Jose), California, 1923. A highly polished mantel runs around the perimeter of a panelled fireplace at right. Vertical wood slats cover the adjacent walls. A metal sconce for a light is attached to the wall at the opening to a corridor down which two fireplaces are visible on the left wall. One has a glass doored wooden cabinet built above it. A window is visible at the end of the corridor. Through a wide doorway at left, beside a brick fireplace, a staircase leads upstairs. Decorative wooden dowels form "sun ray" arches over the doorway and an adjacent opening between the corridor and the room.
