Photograph of a collection of 12 unidentified Indian baskets on display, photographed ca.1900. They are displayed outside (judging from the foliage visible in the background on both sides), on a table covered with a cloth, in front of the table, and leaning against or hanging from a cloth backdrop. They are shaped like shallow platters and round jars with narrow necks and mouths. They have differing woven patterns including stripes, zig-zags, diamonds, steps, etc. One of them has a large hold in the middle of it. Several of them bear legible tags reading: "No. 164, Tejon", "No. 15, Kern", "No. 149, Kern, Tejon", "No. 38, Tejon", "No. 36, Tejon"[?]. Image 28.
