Description	Photograph of a Navajo Indian mother and two children sitting in front of an adobe dwelling, ca.1900. The mother sits on a stool of some kind hidden beneath her large dress and blanket. She sits with a baby girl in her lap partially covered with a diamond patterned blanket. Another little girl wearing a dress and blouse crouches at her right playing with the fringe on the blanket. A third child, a little boy wearing a jacket and knickers, is partially visible standing at right. A large adobe wall can be seen in the background. Patches of the wall are cracked, and a section of wall is missing leaving the foundation exposed in the background at center.
