Description	Postcard of a photograph of a general view of the rear of the Winchester "Mystery" House, Santa Clara (near San Jose), California, 1923. The trunk of a large palm tree stands in front of the Victorian mansion. The exterior walls are alternately shingled in various styles and covered with slats of wood siding. No two windows are the same size or style. Part of the circularly shaped portion of the house at left which has been boarded up, probably once held a brick chimney. A tall wire fence prevents entry by the tourists.
