Description	Photograph of Sierra Magnesite Company station near Porterville, ca.1930. A set of tracks in the foreground lead around the rocky hillside to the tented worksite. Supplies resembling metal beams and carrying carts are scattered about the incomplete site. While in the upper right-hand corner pure, grassy hillside can be seen, the bottom left corner is cluttered with ore stock piles and waste dumps surrounding a small tent in center that sits at the end of a second set of tracks, these much farther down the hill than the first.
