Description	Photograph of Christopher Houston "Kit" Carson's house in Taos, New Mexico, ca.1900. Two children are pictured standing on the shaded patio of a long, one-story adobe. The overhang over the patio does not appear to be adobe, and is supported by a number of round posts. Two doors and a number of glassless windows can be seen beyond the children. Past the house, to the right, the beginning of a chickenwire fence can be seen. A second adobe is visible in the left background. The surrounding ground appears to be dusty and grassless. A large puddle stands in front of the house in the foreground. The house is possibly located on a Native American pueblo.
