Several massive soundstage buildings can be seen in a group at center, while movie sets can be seen near the bottom of the image. More buildings can be seen in the background at center. At right, a large oil field is visible and several tall oil derricks can be seen. Wide streets can be seen around the studio and the oil field, and houses are visible in the foreground at left.; Camera is facing north over Pico Blvd. running left to right in the foreground. Santa Monica Blvd. runs left to right at the top of the photo. The present day Avenue of the Stars would bisect the oil field on the right hand side of the photo (running top to bottom).
