A crumbling two-story adobe building is visible in the left background, on hilly terrain. It features an overhanging roof covered in terracotta tiles that extends from its first level on the right. Text written-in below the image identifies the site and area, and also reads "near the Sheep-Farm of James Blackburn", as well as "Meeting of neighbouring stock-owners at general rodeo for the separation of heads".
