Description	Photograph of a row of oilrigs at the Playa del Rey oil field in Venice, ca.1925. Several oil derricks stand in a row at center, with several shed-like structure, tanks, stacks and piping built into their bases. A plume of smoke escapes a stack from a shed at right, while several lamps line the sand in the foreground in front of a parked automobile. In the background, the tops of other derricks appear, as well as several more plumes of smoke. The background is otherwise neutral.
