Description	Photograph of the Kettleman Hills Oil Field, ca.1931. Down a dusty road that curves left stands the oil refinery, with a single vessel standing tall right of center. Behind it stand several smaller vessels, while beneath it sit a maze of pipes and funnels beside a small house-like structure. Right of the vessels is a structure with six smoke stacks poking out of its roof. Left of center stand three layered structures connected to the vessels by way of piping. The soil in the foreground is muddied and trod upon, while the background is neutral.
