Description	Photograph of temporary tracks laid along Main Avenue in Fallbrook, 1917. The tracks, which were placed to move a train that had been stranded in the Santa Margarita riverbed, are shown at right, stretching down the street into the distance. At center, a horse and automobile can be seen crossing the street that runs perpendicular. In the left foreground, a dog can be seen sitting outside a building that reads "Merchandise" above its awning.; Photoprint reads: "The engine, tender and train that in two months, beginning on March 14, 1917, was lifted out of the Santa Margarita riverbed where floods stranded it, rolled into downtown Fallbrook on July 9, 1917, to sounds of a hullabaloo that resembled an attack by the Kaiser. Temporary ties, used in the hop-skotch engineering to roll the whole train through town to new tracks, can be seen at right".
