THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS
March 12, 1?£7
1735 New York Avenue, N.W.
Washington 6, D. C.
Mr. N. Patrickson Greene
73£ Fillmore Street
Monterey, California
Dear Mr. Greene:
In connection with our correspondence on the Greene drawings, it
has occurred to me that there might be a possibility of using one
of these in an exhibit that the Institute is arranging at the
National Gallery of Art in connection with its Centennial. I am
not responsible for the final selection, but I am working with
Mr. Gutheim, who is. I believe that any drawing to be used would
probably have to be a rendering with a feeling of spontaneity
about it.
The exhibit is to cover the period May l£th to July 15>th, but we
would need the material in hand not later than April 15>th. If
you feel that there is any possibility of sending any of these
drawings for our inspection before that date, I would be delighted
to hear from you#
Sincerely yours,
George E. Pettengill
