Dear Mr. Greene:
I have received from you a short note stating that you
had been ill and out of the gity.  I am exceedingly sorry
to hear that you have not been well.
I suppose a further letter with the full details in regard
to the various questions concerning v/hich I have written
you is now on the way.
I have decided to go ahead with the iron work for the stairs
on the outside of the kitchen—provided this can still be
had from the iron man in Pacific Grove and at a price not
to exceed $160.00 complete.  If the order is placed now delivery could be made any time before June 15th and we would,
of course, have to be entirely sure that they would be in
place by that time.  Payment to him, of course, as soon as
the item is delivered.
Mrs. James and I are leaving for New York City tonight and
will be there iearly three weeks. Our address will be the
St. Regis Hotel.
