Because of the fact that the residence
designed by me for D.L.James, has already cost
cnnsiderably in excess of the tMrty thousand
dollars (|30,000.00) which I had originally
estimated would be the total cost; and because
of the further fact that this increased cost has
been brought about, not through changes of plan
made by the owner, I agree that on all that part
of the coat of the house which is in excess of
tim thirty-thousand dollars (53^,000.00), my ar-

chitect's commission shall be £4r*re r5v per cent.
It is also agreed that there is to be no architect's
commission on the amount paid out by Mr. James for
accident insurance. /\"^p ^^ ifr- -fc^&*~- <~^£ J-^-
The sum of $500.00 paid to me today is accepted
by me as a part of this agreement.
