Former Pai Chai graduate, now school principal. An extraordinary student, Hugh Cyn was taken to America by Medical missionary Dr. Harry Sherman. After Sherman's death, Cyn remained in Mrs. Sherman's home and worked his way through the University of Southern California, where he graduated with honors. Returning to Korea, Cyn refused many tempting offers of employment with large salaries, and gave himself to service of the Mission and was put in charge of Pai Chai. He is regarded as being the outstanding Korean educator. He was a lay delegate to the General Conference of 1916, where his ability, tact, and personality won universal respect and recognition.
