Warner; Fire Chief Bacil Roberts.; Supplementary material reads: "Fire Chiefs both - Battalion Chief Nicholas R. Warner, left, gets serious talk from Fire Chief Bacil Roberts on duties of the top Inglewood Fire Department post. Warner was named Fire Chief effective April 1, 1957 at a recent city council meeting, when Roberts announced he would retire that date. A period of 'internship' will precede Warner's assumption of command, to insure what Acting City Administrator Marshall Julian called a 'smooth' changeover."
