Description	1 image. Cement truck wreck in San Pedro, 12 July 1958. Failure of brakes to hold (Barbara street near 37th street in San Pedro).; Supplementary material reads: "Gershon. City desk. Caption only. Cement truck. Spilled cement: This is what followed failure of brakes to hold stalled ready-mix cement truck when driver stalled engine gearing down on a 30-percent climb on Barbara Street near 37th Street, San Pedro. Driver, Raymond Blake, suffered cut elbow and sprained back. Six tons of cement in mixer was to [sic] much weight for truck's brakes, police said".
