Description	Heavily retouched photograph. "Proposed site of the Los Angeles War Memorial Auditorium, to be the nation's greatest structure of its kind, has been revealed by Greater Los Angeles Plans, In., a non-profit civic group which is developing and financing the auditorium and a Los Angeles Opera House, to be built at an anticipated cost of $35,000,000. Picture shows an artist's drawing of the 30,000-seat structure set into the 23-acre site, which extends from West Third to West Fifth streets and from Fremont street to a point a half block east of Flower street." -- typed note attached to verso, dated, 13 April 1949.
