Description	Photograph. "Out to sea -- Off El Segundo, the monstrous platform ship eases a section of pipeline (arrow) into place. The craft 'walks' on 275-foot-high 'legs' as it jockeys 1000-ton sections with television's aid." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 25 June 1959.; "El Segundo, June 24 -- Three miles offshore from here, a $20,000,000 construction operation has passed its half-way mark. -- A four-legged, 27-story platform and floating vessel, tallest ocean-going ship ever built, has only two more miles of sewer pipe to lower and connect before the five-mile long Hyperion Outfall, which will carry raw sewage from Los Angeles to deep water, is completed. -- The platform-ship jacks itself up and down on its 275-foot high legs and jockeys 1000-ton strings of pipe with the aid of an underwater closed-circuit television system. -- The job is being handled by five other construction firms from New York, Nebraska and California. The project is part of a vast sewage expansion progrm of the Los Angeles Department of Public Works." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso.
