Description	The beach at Venice, California. 2 prints.; 1st print: "With the lifting of the Venice quarantine, hundreds of thousands Southern California beachgoers dot the sands at the municipal strand every day. The municipally-owned Venice Beach is once again becoming one of the most popular spots for those who wish to relax and enjoy the warm Southern California beach weather. The City provides adequate lifeguard protection throughout the length of the city-owned beach property" -- typed note attached to verso. Verso dated, "May 24, 1952".; 2nd print: "The southwest corner of the Venice Beach parking lot, located at the westerly terminus of Venice Boulevard, will serve as headquarters for the second 1955 Camera Day, which will be staged today (Saturday, July 10) at the municipal strand under the sponsorship of the Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department, with the cooperation of the Venice Chamber of Commerce. A total of 20 photo-lovelies provided by the beach community's Chamber of Commerce and the Adrian Teen Modeling School, Westwood, will face the lenses of the approximately 500 amateur shutter-clickers expected to participate in today's event" -- typed note attached to verso.
