Description	Photograph of the Statler Center unique motorist lobby. "Statler Hotel / Photo caption / Statler Center's unique motorists's [sic] entrance where guests may register and be taken by elevator directly to their rooms without having to pass through the plush lobby in travel-weary clothes. Professional models and hotel employees demonstrate how the auto entrance on Francisco street operates" -- typed note attached to verso. "Motorist lobby -- Professional models demonstrate innovation in hotel service. Guests drive into garage, register at special desk, and are then whisked to their rooms by elevator, by-passing main lobby" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated, "October 27, 1952". Verso dated, "October 27, 1952"; EXM-P-S-HOT-CAL-LOS-ANG-STA-005~1: "A unique feature of the Los Angeles (Hotel) Statler is the motorist's lobby for guests arriving by car. The motorist can drive his car into the lobby, turn it over to an attendant for parking in the underground garage and go directly to his room without the need of going to the main lobby in travel-wrinkled clothes" -- typed note attached to verso.
