Description	Photograph of the crowded streets of Downtown as people walk across the crosswalk of Seventh Street and Broadway. "Population Boom? No End in Sight. You'll have 225,000 new neighbor in 1958. That's the best estimate of the 1958 increase in Los Angeles County's current population of 5,561,986. Of this, Los Angeles City (now 2,248,451) will get 80,000. The other 60 cities, comprising 4,499,361, will draw at least 70,000 of the 200,000 increase. The unincorporated area population of 1,062,625 will be increased by around 50,000 more persons. When will the Southland's population boom stop?
