Photo of the old County Courthouse photograph taken through an infra-red filter. "Whew! That¿s heat for you! It got so hot Friday that even the cameras were seeing things. One of them saw snow on the old courthouse lawn and icicles hanging from the ivy. Stan Vincett, a photographer of 3313 Temple street, who took the picture, looked at his developed film, blinked, looked at it again and said: "Well, I guess you could make it snow in Hades if you looked through an infra-red filter." So, it was only a photographic trick after all. There really was no snow on the old courthouse lawn. But on a blistering hot day, when every thought turns to the Arctic zone for relief, remember that the best way to look at the world through rose-colored glasses is to take pictures through infra-red filter. "It turns everything green to white" explained Mr. Vincett" -- typed note attached to verso. Verso dated, "7/22/34".; Streetscape. Horizontal photography.
