Photograph of the old County Courthouse and the Hall of Records, facing southwest from the corner of Temple Street and Spring Street. "Let it tick. Declaring the clock in the old courthouse tower "Is to Los Angeles what the Liberty Bell is to Philadelphia" the Los Angeles Historical Society yesterday petitioned the Supervisors not to sell the timepiece, which has been in use for 53 years. The society suggested the clock be preserved. It must be removed when workmen tear away the tower, which has been declared unsafe. Supervisors are considering what to do with it" -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated, "February 19(?), 1932". Text entitled "Southern California" printed on verso.; Streetscape.
