Das Album wurde evt. in Basel angefertigt.Josenhans war Hausvater und Lehrer im Missionshaus in Basel und war von 1850 - 1879 Inspektor. Er war 1851/2 auf einer Inspektionsreise in Indien (PJ).Von der Oberfläche der Fotos kann man davon ausgehen, dass sich bei einigen Legenden auf der Rückseite befinden.; Note translation: Temporary loan for inclusion into the database. - Mrs Veigl received the album from Mrs. Reitelhuber, who was the great-granddaughter of Josenhans. The album might have been created in Basel.Josenhans was house father and a teacher in the Mission seminary in Basel and Basel Mission inspector from 1850 to 1879. He was on a tour of inspection in India in 1851/2.From the surface of some of the photos one cann assume that there are captions written on the ack of them.

Fotos sind eingeklebt und haben handgeschriebene Legenden.; Bound album, black leather imitation cover with title stamped in gold and stamed decorations in relief. Spine is getting brittle. Light beige cardboard pages with mould spots and seperation sheets. Photos have been pasted in and have handwritten captions.; 58 images; b/w positive, paper print; 74 pages; 32.9 x 42.0 x 3.0 cm.
