Description	Note translation: Judging by our internal archive system this file will only in exceptional cases have photographs from earlier than the return of the Basel Mission to Cameroon after the First World War. There are indeed a few photographs from 1914 or before in this file, but they are clearly documented. NB however, some of the photographers represented in this file - like Frieda Mieschler - worked in Cameroon after 1945 , so that the file may contain photographs from the period after 1945 which we have not identified as such.
